Juan Luciano has spent his career navigating the often complex world of family law and has gained a reputation for excellence, both at the negotiating table and in the courtroom.
His vast experience in a broad range of family law matters includes divorce, mediation, alimony and spousal support, child custody and support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity and other matters dealing with family law.
Mr. Luciano attended State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, achieving his Juris Doctor degree in 2004.
After being admitted to the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division Second Judicial Department in February of 2005, Mr. Luciano went on to represent clients in family court matters while working of counsel with other family law practitioners in New York City until 2013 when he opened his own offices as a solo practitioner.
Since then, Mr. Luciano has dedicated his office to the practice of family law and domestic relations, representing his clients with their best interests and those of their family in mind. Over his years in practice, he has strived to resolve divorce and family law matters quickly and amicably, implementing practical solutions and keeping lines of communication open and respectful.
Mr. Luciano has been certified by the Appellate Division First Judicial Department to represent children and adults in family law, child protective and juvenile delinquency matters. He has served as faculty for the Practicing Law Institute, as President of the Bronx Family Court Bar Association and on numerous advisory panels and committees. Many of his decisions and interviews can be found in major publications including the New York Law Journal and the Wall Street Journal .
Mr. Luciano believes that the key to his success is his ability to recognize his clients’ needs while treating them with sensitivity, respect and compassion . While collaboration and negotiation is always the primary goals, he always maintains a calculated and aggressive legal strategy that can be implemented at the appropriate time if negotiations are not fruitful.
Mr. Luciano maintains offices in Midtown as well as a Bronx location for the convenience of his clients. He speaks Spanish fluently.
John Teufel, Esq. is an attorney licensed to practice in the state of New York. His legal work focuses primarily on family law, working closely with clients to understand their unique needs in order to develop strategies that allow them to best go forward with their lives.
John received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2014, focusing primarily on family and matrimonial law.

After law school, he served as a fellow for Justice Deborah Kaplan in the Matrimonial Part of the state Supreme Court and interned for the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York. He has been retained in several actions concerning prenuptial agreement enforcement and has developed an extensive knowledge of prenuptial agreement law, understanding their specific strengths and weaknesses.
John is a member of the National Lawyers Guild and currently serves on the legislation committee of the Campaign for an Elected Civilian Review Board.
As a writer, his work has been published in the New York Daily News, Streetsblog, City & State, and other publications. He has authored many case studies, and his writing on family law matters has been published in a variety of law journals.
